I don't have a photo of my dear friend. She is a missionary to Northern Ireland and we haven't seen each other for a few years now. But I am posting a photo that reminds me of her everytime I see it. And, Cynthia, since you love quotes so much and have instilled a love of them in me I will share some quotes with you, as my gift to you. I pray you are having a blessed time with your family while on holiday here in the States. I so wish I could see you before you head back to Northern Ireland, but since I am unable to, please know I am thinking about you and praying that God rains down His blessings upon you on this "your day". Enjoy the photo! I am going to frame this and hang it somewhere in my house because it speaks so strongly to me everytime I look at it "solitude". And it causes me to yearn for my quiet moments of solitude when it is just me and the Lord in the early morning hours before anyone else is awake in my household. It is a comfort to me and I hope that by sharing it with you that it will be a comfort to you too.
Happy Birthday Blessings to you C. !!

"Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person;
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words but to pour them all out,
just as it is, chaff and grain together,
knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keeping what is worth keeping, and then,
with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.

In quietness and confidence shall be your strength......"
